Description
Certificate of Appropriateness Public Hearing
Councilmember Lourdes Barroso de Padilla will hold a public hearing to discuss the right-of-way certificate of appropriateness and approval. The legislation seeks to clarify that the City of Columbus is not legally required to obtain a certificate of appropriateness or certificate of approval from commissions with historic architectural or design review authority when performing or authorizing work in the public right-of-way.
Those interested in testifying in-person or submitting written testimony should email their remarks to Amaris Lemus at aslemus@columbus.gov with the subject line “Certificate of Appropriateness Testimony” by noon on Dec. 3. Remarks will be limited to three minutes per speaker.
